Description
Description TextDate updated30/11-8 S Munin is a discovery in the central North Sea, 35 kilometres south of the Oseberg field. The water depth is 110 metres. The discovery was proven in 2011. During extensive drilling campaigns in 2014 and 2016, a total of 11 discoveries were proven in the Munin, Askja and Central area, which extends over 200 square kilometres. The reservoirs contain gas and oil in Middle Jurassic sandstone of the Brent Group at depths of 3,200-3,650 metres. The plan is to develop the discoveries as part of the Yggdrasil development (formerly NOAKA), together with other discoveries and abandoned fields in the area between the Oseberg and Alvheim fields. In December 2022, three plans for development and operation (PDO) were submitted for the Yggdrasil development, including the projects Munin, Hugin and Fulla. The PDO for Munin includes subsea tie-backs to a new unmanned process platform, Munin, in the northern part of the Yggdrasil area. The Munin platform will be tied-back to the new process platform Hugin A in the southern part of the Yggdrasil area.28.02.2023 -
