    PILOT (drilling to investigate the geology and fluid connectors for location of the main wellbore),
    SCIENTIFIC (drilling according to Law of Scientific research and exploration),
    STRATIGRAPHIC (driling according to Law of Petroleum activities §2-1).
    WILDCAT
    Status
    Status for the wellbore. Legal values are:

    BLOWOUT: A blowout has occurred in the well.
    CLOSED: A development wellbore that has been closed in a shorter or longer periode. Also applies to development wellbores where drilling is completed, but production/injection has not yet been reported.
    DRILLING: The well is in the drilling phase - can be active drilling, logging, testing or plugging,
    JUNKED: The drilling operation has been terminated due to technical problems.
    P&A: Exploration: The well is plugged and abandoned, and can not be reentered for further use. Development wells: The production/injection from/to the well is stopped and the well is plugged. The wellhead is removed or else made unavailable for further well operations.
    PLUGGED: The wellbore has been plugged, but the upper parts of the wellbore can be re-used. A sidetrack might be drilled at a later stage.
    PRODUCING: It was produced from the wellbore at the time of the operators last monthly report to the NPD.
    INJECTING: It was injected to the wellbore at the time of the operators last monthly report to the NPD.
    PREDRILLED: The upper part of the well has been drilled, usually as part of a batch-drilling campaign covering several wellbores.
    RE-CLASS TO DEV: Exploration wellbore that is reclassified to a development wellbore.
    RE-CLASS TO TEST: Exploration wellbore that is reclassified to test production.
    SUSPENDED: The drilling operation in the wellbore has been temporarily stopped. The current plan is to continue drilling later on.

    Exploration wellbores from moveable facilities:
    For floating facilities - date when anchor handling is started. For jackups - date the jacking-down started. Exploration wellbores from fixed facilities and all development wellbores:
    Date when the wellbore is at total depth, and last casing, liner or screen is set. In case of immediate plugging of the wellbore, completed date equals the date the last plug i set in the wellbore.

    SHOWS (GAS SHOWS, OIL SHOWS or OIL/GAS SHOWS) are detected as fluorescent cut (organic extract), petroleum odour, or visual stain on cuttings or cores, or as increased gas reading on the mud-loggers gas detection equipment.

    General
    Well 35/11-20 B is a geological sidetrack to well 35/11-20 S. Well 35/11-20 S and its' first sidetrack 35/11-20 A reached the Middle-Late Jurassic Heather Formation and proved oil in Oxfordian age Intra-Heather Formation sandstone (Orion prospect). The objective of sidetrack well 35/11-20 B was to further appraise and test the oil bearing Oxfordian aged Intra-Heather Formation sandstone as found in 35/11-20S & 20A. The exploration objective was to test HC potential of the Middle Jurassic Brent Group as well as the Early Jurassic Cook Formation.
    Operations and results
    Wildcat well 35/11-20 B was kicked off from the main bore (35/11-20S) at 1812 m in the Shetland Group on 7 August 2016. It was drilled with the semi-submersible installation Borgland Dolphin to TD at 5114 m (4087 m TVD) m in the Early Jurassic Statfjord Group. No significant problem was encountered in the operations. The well was drilled with Innovert oil based mud from kick-off to TD.
    Well 35/11-20B encountered the Oxfordian sandstones with top at 4131 m (3223 m TVD). These sandstones are 36 m TVD thick and with lower reservoir quality compared to the 35/11-20 A sidetrack. The top 8 m TVD is oil bearing. Top Tarbert Formation was penetrated at 4596 m (3616 m TVD). The upper 10 m were oil-bearing with oil in a Down-To situation. These sandstones had moderate reservoir quality with an average porosity of 14%. The Ness, Etive and Oseberg reservoirs are of low to medium quality with an average porosity of 13 -15% and water wet with some residual hydrocarbons. The Cook Formation was of low quality and is believed to be water bearing with some residual hydrocarbon. Only the top of the Statfjord Group was penetrated and it is water bearing with some residual HC.
    No cores were cut. MDT fluid samples were taken at 4606.6 m in the Tarbert Formation (formation oil), 4803.5 m in the Oseberg Formation (formation water with traces of live hydrocarbon), and 5095.20 m in the Statfjord Group (formation water with traces of live hydrocarbon).
    The well was permanently abandoned on 15 September as an oil discovery.
